how can you tell if your older cat is getting arthritis in his hips and back?
I have a cat with arthritis in her hips and back. She started with just a few limps when she first got up. Then it went to getting up more slowly. Today, she loves to lay on the heat registers and kind of waddles a bit. It’s quite similar to that of humans with arthritis. A product called Cosequin for Cats helped for a while, but then it wasn’t helping the pain. She has been on Syn-Flex for Pets for about 1.5 yrs now. It helps her pain and she does well most of the time. Days with a weather change can be tough on her just as it is for people. I have avoided the vet prescribed med, since most of them have some serious side effects. I plan to keep her on the natural glucosomine products as long as possible.
