Hi Sophie,
I know from my mom experience that eating the right food can make a huge difference, though my mom’s arthritis was considered age related, it was really due to eating wrong for 40+ years. I know your boyfriend’s situation is different, but I think he should try whatever he can!
I would suggest the following:
# 1 Try to find that book, Eat Right 4 Your Type. It’s what worked for my mom, she is O and strictly ate according to their prescription for 3 months. All her arthritis went away, but when she started eating glutenous things again, the pains return and the longer she eats wrong the longer the pain takes to go away.
# 2 You could try various herbs that are helpful in either relieving the inflammation in the joints or help heal the tissue and restore blood circulation. Herbs you can look into is
Boswellia, is help the tissue in the joints to heal by improving blood circulation and so reduces the swelling in the joints as well and fight the inflammation.
Sage, is antioxidant, contains volatile oils that promote healing and fight inflammation.
Ginger, help with pain relieve in the joints and two out of three people find it beneficial.
and Cayenne, also relieve joint pain, fight inflammation and seem to delay arthritis symptoms.
I’ve attached the websites where you can read more about these herbs. Do try them out and if one don’t work try another one, but remember to give it some time, like I said before, for my mom it took 3 months on a strict diet to see results.
All the best for you guys!
