Rheumatoid Arthritis Nodule-Could anyone tell me?

if this bump on my elbow will go away. I have just been through a bout of a RA attack on my joints. Things are much better now with the help of my Dr and meds. I have this saggy nodule on my elbow that looks really gross. I had one little one a long time ago when I had had an attack of this terrible condition. Anyone that has RA knows how painfull it can be. Boy…I’m feeling so much better now but am really self contious about the lump. Do these usually disburse?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Tx

Yes, they will come and go. I have RA and they are very painful. This all depends on your body’s inflammation process. Don’t get stressed out, avoid high acidic foods like lemons, limes, tomatoes, and foods that contain them. Stay away form sodas especially Dr. pepper! Drink lots of water and make sure you take all of your medication and try to take them all at the same time each day.

Ask your doctor about methotrexate in combination with embrel. I have also noticed a big difference when I have a flare up to call the doctor immediately and go in to get a corticosteroid shot in those joints so I won’t be in so much pain. You can also get the shots in the lesions. The shots are painful but in 2 to 3 days you feel so much better and the inflammation will go away faster.

Hope you feel better and take care.
