Could be mononucleosis several times as a kid again raise my rheumatoid factor in adult life?

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and went to see a rhuematologist. She said that my rheumatoid factor was 50 and she was tested again and it is now 42. She prescribed a drug against arthritis, but I do not feel like I have. I never had swelling or redness of joints. Although I had pain and it "feels" to me, there is a stiff, I'm actually hyper-mobile and my movement of the joint is very good. I know you can show an increase in rheumatoid factor with infectious mononucleosis. Apparently, it never really leaves your system also. This leads to believe could be the possible cause of rheumatoid factor high. Has anyone seen any documented cases of this before? I like to present to my doctor because I did not want to treat me arthritus I do not show stymptoms other is the way forward at this time. Thank you!

An "abnormal" rheumatoid factor is not always an indication of arthritis. My mother had rheumatoid arthritis since more than 50 years and has never been tested for rheumatoid factor abnormal. She had joint pain, swelling and redness that was hot. I am not influencing the course of mono test, but it seems reasonable. If you do not have symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, the treatment is useless. arthritis drugs is given to help slow the progression and joint damage or to relieve inflammation.
