I was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s the ultimate guide to understanding rheumatoid arthritis and putting an end to the pain it causes. This well-written document cites proven evidence from research studies and clinical trials to empower arthritis sufferers to take charge of their healing and conquer their pain for good. To Be Sure: Arthritis cannot be cured, but the symptoms of arthritis can. Is your child complaining about knee, hand or joint pain?
When my daughter was 3, she would cry in pain when we’d put on her pants in the mornings. I took her to 2 doctors and both said “Growing pains”. Finally when she was 7 the joint on her middle finger swelled up twice its size and my doctor had me take her to a rheumatologist. She was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. The damage done to her joints over that 4 years was irreversible. The morale of this story: If your child has the same symptoms, either rush her/him to a rheumatologist, or demand a simple blood test to check her sed rate. Elevated sed rate indicates ra. Don’t trust a simple exam by a family doctor.
Oh i am so sorry..and Thank you for posting this information..it’s sad but true…we can not just overlook pains in children or teens as just “growing pains” and doctors tend to do this alot…God Bless…
