Help!! Does anyone know someone with Rheumatoid Arthritis? How often is it fatal?
I know that it can decrease life expectancy, but I’m looking for examples…
My grandmother has Rheumatoid Arthritis and has had it for years and years. It itsn’t necessarily fatal, although unfortunately it can become crippling. She has been a seamstress, and stopped due to wrist and finger problems in her late 60’s. There are several medications available for this disease. Naprosyn is a common one. They used to use Vioxx, until the recall. And this actually helped my Mamaw. They can also prescribe pain medication such as Darvocet, Ultracet, Ultram, Percocet, etc; when it flares up and becomes unbearable. Hope this helps.
