Lymphedema ?
I’m 14 years old and my left leg..down my the ankle is leaking some kind of fluid. The area is not swollen, and there is no cut or bug bite there. I’ve went to 2 different doctors, and my rheumatologist {[{I have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis}]}, and the ER. I wasn’t admitted into the hospital, they ran ultrasounds, xrays, and blood work and couldn’t figure out what it was. So the doctor released me, bewildered, but diagnosed me with Lymphedema since the hospital was required a diagnosis. They did ultrasounds on my whole leg/thigh, on both, and they xrayed the spot where the fluid is coming out. The still couldn’t figure out where the fluid was coming from. My rheumatologist refered me to a dermatologist..because he was baffled as well. I’m not sure when I’m going to be able to get into the dermatologist..so I was just wondering if anyone might know what this is.
I know what lymphedema is..
Hi wondering, it could be lymph fluid leaking, you need to see a doctor who is knowledgeable, is the dermatologist qualified to diagnose lymphedema? If you send me an email via my website or through here, let me know where you live, I can see if I can find you a doctor who can help you, one who is familiar with lymphedema. They need to look at more than just your leg too, you need blood work, and probably a cat scan of not only the leg but the abdomen as well.
