How do you treat tenosynovitis and ligament tear in the wrist?
I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and pain have to swear both my wrist and forearm. An MRI revealed a tear and tenosynovitis of the ulnar ligament external. I am NASAID (Mobec), but the pain remains the worst is the morning. Are there other treatments for this?
Mobic is good, you can ask your doctor about Max. 7.5 mg dose twice a day, seems to work better than a 15 mg once daily. I would stay away from ice, but that makes arthritis pain worse, even if you have inflammation. You can try a bit of moist heat, gentle … 10-15 minutes, then range of motion exercises .. you may find yourself with a fusion the wrist if the pain becomes unbearable on the road. You're at risk for carpal tunnel as well.
